Terms and Conditions

BOOKINGS: To secure a date, a signed bridal contract and £50.00 deposit are required. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. This deposit will be placed toward the client’s total wedding day balance if the client chooses wedding day services. The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to the event date. An invoice and payment link will be supplied in order to make things as easy as possible for you. 

TRIALS/CONSULTATIONS: I would recommend a trial for yourself so that we can firstly meet in person, to discuss your plans, desired look and to of course try a style of makeup and hair (if required).

Consultations are a 90 minute appointment appointment for Makeup only or 3 hours for Hair and Makeup, which take place around 3 months prior to your wedding for weddings taking place May-July; or 5-6 months before weddings taking place in August-December. Consultations.trials take place at my home studio in Reading, Berkshire.

A white/light coloured top is recommended to be worn to the appointment to see the look against something similar to your dress. 

Trials for other bridal party members are not necessary as looks are created on the day to a high standard; however, if a member of your party (including but not limited to: mothers of the bride/groom, grandmothers, bridesmaids) have any skin concerns that they wish to discuss, consultations will be £50/individual.  NOTE: Additional consultations must be scheduled on the same day as the bride’s consultation and will be kept to a maximum of one additional member with the Bride. 

ADDITIONAL ARTISTS: For larger Bridal Parties, second artists are often required to ensure a smooth running of the wedding morning. Additional Hair and Makeup Artists will require a further reservation fee following a successful consultation. This will of course be discussed and invoiced accordingly via myself. Once an extra artist is booked (within 2 days, after your trial) a 50% payment is required if there are changes to numbers, which will be added to your final balance.

DELAYS: A late fee of £25.00 will be charged for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled makeup application exceeds the allotted time due to client delays.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED: Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction, and acceptance of the completed makeup application is acknowledgement by the client that the makeup is done to the client’s satisfaction.

TRAVEL FEES: Travel within 15 miles of RG2 is free of charge. Travel outside this area is charged at 45p per mile. Time spent travelling is not charged. In circumstances of travel for 2 hours or more, travel plus overnight accommodation is required to ensure that there are no delays for your wedding day preparations.  Where necessary there will be a travel charge & Parking if needed when additional artists are required on your wedding day.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS: All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by the client. Costs may include, but not limited to airfare, hotel, transportation and parking. 

LIABILITY: All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitised between every makeup application. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist (Louisa Jayne) from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.  

PAYMENT: The final balance is due 7 days prior to the event date before the makeup artist departs — no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) whose name(s) appear on this contract.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the client’s reserved date or the client will be responsible for paying the full amount of services agreed upon in this contract.

If the Makeup Artist cancels at any time or is unable to perform her duties for any reason, and is not able to find a replacement Makeup Artist, the deposit paid will be fully refunded within two weeks. The client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to Louisa Jayne. 

AMENDMENTS TO SERVICES: Any additional add on's or additional coverage needed must be made known at least 1 week prior.

SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS: The location of service for the day of the event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the Makeup Artist needs to complete the makeup. A “set up” table/work area needs to be made available for the Makeup Artist at the said location. Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by the Makeup Artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. Please let Louisa Jayne – Makeup Artist know if a chair cannot be provided. Louisa Jayne – Makeup Artist will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location. NOTE: Please remember to wear a button-down shirt/slip/robe so that your style remains while getting dressed. 


USE OF IMAGE: Unless you explicitly ask us not to use images taken of our work at your wedding, we will use them on our social media platforms and website/marketing. 

WEDDING DAY SUPPLIERS: I love supporting other local artists. As such, when using images after your wedding on things like social media I like to share the love by tagging those involved in making your day extra special. To assist me with this please let me know who your chosen suppliers are i.e. Photographer, Hairstylist, Florist, Videographer or other.
